Hammond Electroacoustics is led by Dr. Ross Hammond, a PhD-qualified electroacoustician specialising in speech intelligibility and sound system design for large or acoustically complex environments. With over a decade of experience in both research and applied projects, Ross combines academic rigour with hands-on expertise to optimise clarity, compliance, and performance in venues where sound is critical. His PhD research included pioneering methods to predict how audience occupancy affects intelligibility and acoustics, a significant factor mostly overlooked in traditional system design and validation. This unique combination of academic insight and consultancy experience positions Ross as a trusted authority in PAVA design, speech intelligibility, and electroacoustic system optimisation.
